Rooms and availability
In the Room
The quietness. There's nothing more relaxing than hearing nothing but the ocean.
the staff were friendly and helpful
food at restaurant was overpriced for qualit. Service was very slow and meals were cold
Pool area and acess to the beach
No privacy on the villa deck.
View to the ocean, all bedrooms had their own ensuite. Pool and pool area was very clean and inviting.
The beach house hasn't been looked after, eg venetian blinds were broken, timber floor was very badly scratched. External door locks were very rusty from the salt air. Bedroom upstairs overlooking the ocean - the door was locked from the outside so had to make sure the door didn't close when we weren't in it
spacious rooms, nice to have 1 bed:1 bath; steps to beach and pool
Check-in desk closes at 5:30!
Location, friendly staff,excellent accommodation,everything a plus
The rooms were clean, tidy and well presented. The proximity to the beach was great, only a minutes walk, and the resort location was with in a reasonble 20mins drive into Forster or Tuncurry.
You had to drive into Foster or Tuncurry if you wanted to go to supermarket (and even then there is only one BILO), there was no onsite little store just to get some bread or milk or little things you may've forgotton like your toothbrush, you had to purchase the resorts meals and they were very expensive.
It was the worst value for money hotel I have ever had the experience of staying in. I travel weekly as part of my profession and know value for money. This resort over claims it's star rating and I have already told everyone at my place of work avoid. Absolutely disgusting that you can charge $275 per night for this quality of accommodation, and you know it and would of gotten this feedback before. Do something about it or I am sure you will be closing your doors as you could not possibly compete with other hotels that offer better quality for substantially less money.
Stayed here before which is why we went back - really enjoyed it the first time. This time not as much... Location is great - right on the beach. Good for babies and children - bunnies and wallabies around to amuse them. Very safe.
I was extremely disappointed with our stay. Stayed here 4 weeks ago in a resort villa - it was great. This time we were allocated a family cottage and it was extremely disappointing - everything is dated and needs replacing, but especially the curtains and their rails. Kettle - awful!!! Sofa was terrible - a Fantastic by two for $100 type!!! Sliding door came off its rail. Bathroom basin didn't drain well. It was dirty (I didn't want to switch on the ceiling fan because of all dust sitting on it!!). Crockery and cutlery were dirty with fatty deposits - had to be washed before use. At $155 a rip-off I think... Might go back just for the location, but insist on resort villa.
The location - right on the beach - is just fantastic!
location and tranquility - beautiful beach
restaurant a bit pricey especially compared to reasonable accommodation rates
Location - right on the beach. Friendly staff especially at the restaurant. Quiet location - probably not so quiet in summer / school holidays. Less than 2 hours from where we live.
Nothing - it was a perfect mid-week getaway.
Quiet location,private,helpful staff.
Limited facilities during winter and low season,eg. Pool and spa not heated, games room closed
Fantastic for families and the amenities were lovely! Great for a quiet escape where all you want is a beach close by, a fun pool for the kids and a restaurant. Very nice clean contemporary accommodation. The layout of the two bedroom villa is fantastic for kids as they have their own bathroom and space.
Any town facilities are a car drive away.
Comfortable accomodation in a location that we needed
Not enough seating in the lounge room, 2 bedroom cottage with only a 2 seater sofa which was very uncomfortable to sit on Sky news would have been good too
